School Resource Officers – General Information

School Resource Deputies work within the schools of Christian County. Staffed with 8 full-time Deputies, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Deputies serve approximately 7,000 students. Our mission is to ensure a safe and secure learning environment for students, teachers, and school administrators. Our goal is to serve the greater needs of our communities by working in partnership with our schools. School Resource Deputies network and communicate with over 30 school districts to ensure that school safety stays top priority.

School Resource Deputies serve many roles within our schools. Along with providing on-site, physical security of school campuses, one of the main responsibilities is interacting with students and staff to build strong relationships. Citizens of Christian County will see our School Resource Deputies serving at community and school functions such as ball games and meetings, serving meals, and assisting with various patrol functions.

The Christian County School Resource Deputies are committed to ensuring students’ educational success with a positive law-enforcement interaction.
