FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEChristian County Sheriff’s OfficePARKING INFORMATION – FUNERAL SERVICESaturday, February 28, 2026 All attendees must enter from State Highway J and N. 17th St.Visitors will pass through a controlled access checkpoint at the church. Personnel will ask brief questions to determine the appropriate parking location, and attendees will be directed to designated parking areas.Professional Law Enforcement Honors will take place immediately following the service at the church.PROCESSION ROUTECommunity members who wish to pay their respects are invited to line the procession route to show support as it passes.The procession will depart from James River Church and proceed:• South on N. 19th St. to State Highway J• Right onto State Highway J• Left onto US Highway 65 South• Continue on US 65 and exit at Jackson St.• Left on Jackson St. (becomes 3rd St.)• Left onto Church St.• Right onto N. 2nd Ave.• Right onto Elm St. (passing the Sheriff’s Office)• Left onto 3rd St.• Left onto E. South St.For local attendees, a portion of the route follows the traditional Christmas Parade route.Parking on the square will be restricted. Parking will be available on side streets where legally permitted.TRAFFIC IMPACTSignificant traffic delays are expected in and around the service locations and along the procession route on Saturday, February 28, 2026.The Christian County Sheriff’s Office thanks our community, partner agencies, and supporters for their continued prayers, compassion, and support during this difficult time.
