In support of National School Bus Safety Week, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office will partner with some local school districts to increase enforcement of school bus stop-arm violations from October 20–24, 2025. We’re cracking down on drivers who illegally pass school buses when red lights are flashing, and the stop arm is extended. During this week we will assign a deputy to accompany the bus driver and watch for safety violations. Another deputy will be available to contact drivers and remind motorists of their responsibility to keep students safe. This initiative aims to protect the children who rely on buses to get to and from school safely.“The care and safety of these schoolchildren is our top priority.
